I grew up on a small dairy farm in southeast Ireland, which cultivated a deep connection with nature and laid the foundation for my interest in ancestral health and regenerative farming. My interest in health began when I was first diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma at age of 10, followed by further relapses at 12 and 16. I underwent chemotherapy, radiotherapy and an autologous stem cell transplant, which took its toll on my immunity, thyroid function and metabolism.

My personal health journey inspired me to pursue 12 weeks at Ballymaloe cookery school and farm in 2010. Here, I honed my culinary skills and gained a deep appreciation for the importance of high-quality, seasonal ingredients in supporting health.

My quest for optimal health led me to attain a first-class honors degree in Human Nutrition from the University of Leeds in 2015.

I'M RACHEL

Hello,

Nutritionist (ANutr), GAPS Practitioner (CGP) and Ballymaloe trained chef, driven by a personal journey to reclaim my health after challenges with Refractory Hodgkins Lymphoma and Hypothyroidism at various stages of my life.

However, life had another chapter in store, and at 26, I developed Hodgkins Lymphoma for the fourth time. Determined to discover lasting solutions beyond conventional care, I delved deep into research and crafted a holistic treatment plan that addressed the root cause of my symptoms.

As the veil of health issues lifted, I discovered the true essence of feeling healthy and alive. This pivotal moment marked the beginning of a continuous journey of self-exploration and optimization that I embrace to this day.

Frustrated by the limitations of the current health system and outdated guidelines, I co-created Span Health in 2018 — a coaching app that empowers individuals with personalized, data-driven insights from bloodwork and wearable devices like Oura, Whoop, and Apple Health. Span Health's impact continued to grow, culminating in its acquisition by Eight Sleep in 2022.

In 2021, I completed the GAPS (Gut and Psychology/Physiology Syndrome) Practitioner training by Natasha Campbell-McBride. The GAPS Diet is a nutritional healing protocol with an emphasis on foods that support the body’s immune system to heal and repair damage from inflammation and toxins.

My approach to wellness is integrative and holistic, encompassing the interplay between biological, behavioral and environmental factors. From nutrition, sleep (circadian balance), genetics, environment, microbiome, metabolism, I leave no aspect of well-being unexplored.

I offer 1:1 online and in-person consultations. Sessions are designed to be personalised, transformative experiences that provide you with comprehensive support and guidance, ensuring you have all the tools you need to unlock your body's innate wisdom to reclaim health.

My professional work has continued to develop in the spirit of always seeking true health and solutions for my clients.
